WaterSmart issues 1 Millionth Home Water Report

San Francisco, CA – WaterSmart Software, the leading water efficiency solution provider that helps utilities and their customers save money and water, today announced it has issued its one millionth “Home Water Report” – the company’s key tool for informing residents about their water use and engaging them in utility conservation programs.

To commemorate this historic achievement, WaterSmart has made a charitable donation to the Fresno Regional Foundation’s Central Valley Drought Relief Fund (CVDR). “It’s important that we give back to communities affected by water stress because they have the greatest need for help.” said Robin Gilthorpe, CEO of WaterSmart Software. “These communities will greatly benefit from our technology and other innovative solutions to address dire water resource challenges.” It is anticipated that 500,000 acres of California central valley farm land will be fallowed and unemployment rates are expected to exceed 60% in Fresno County farming communities because of the drought. The CVDR is focusing it’s efforts in critical areas such as food, housing, utilities, employment and essential human services.
