WaterSmart Software Appoints Team of Water Industry Luminaries to Advisory Board

Water analytics specialist selects seasoned sales leader to power expansion

San Francisco, CA  – WaterSmart Software, the industry-leading customer engagement and data analytics platform provider that helps water utilities and their customers save money and water, today announced the appointment of an advisory board made up of industry luminaries. The advisory board will assist the company with strategic planning, industry relations and product development.

Appointments to the WaterSmart advisory board include:

  • William K. Reilly: Former Administrator of the U.S. EPA and Senior Advisor to TPG Capital LP, an international investment partnership.
  • Susan Leal: Founder of Urban Water Works consultancy, prior AECOM executive and GM of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
  • Edmund Archuleta, P.E.: Former CEO of El Paso Water Utilities and an acknowledged water conservation pioneer.
  • Lynn Broaddus: President of Broadview Collaborative who formerly led Environment Programs for the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread.

WaterSmart also announced the hiring of Erik Andersen as managing director, head of sales, to lead business expansion across the country. Erik joins WaterSmart from Remedy Interactive where he led global sales for the leading safety management software provider. Prior to Remedy Interactive, Mr. Andersen served in a variety of international business development roles at PeopleSoft, Hewlett-Packard Company, and Federal Express. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and his MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

WaterSmart has been commercially and independently proven over the past five years and is currently in use by nearly 50 water utilities throughout the United States from coast-to-coast. The company manages data from over two million water meters, which represent two percent of the total meters in the United States.
