WaterSmart® Wins SXSW Eco Award

WaterSmart wins First Place in the Cleanweb Category

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — WaterSmart Software, a customer engagement solutions company that helps water utilities and their customers conserve water, edged out four other finalists to win the SXSW Eco Award in the Cleanweb category this week.

The SXSW Eco Awards recognize leaders in the fields of energy, design, technology, and sustainability. The announcement comes on the heels of WaterSmart’s recent news that it raised a $4.5M Series A and won the City of Sacramento as its first major metro customer.

“We are extremely grateful to SXSW Eco for recognizing the vast impact WaterSmart’s customer engagement platform has on decreasing water use while increasing customer satisfaction,” said Peter Yolles, Founder and CEO of WaterSmart. “With recent investment, awards and customer wins across the country, 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for WaterSmart.”

WaterSmart’s customer engagement platform reinvents the way water utilities interact with their customers. The platform elegantly compares customers’ water usage with that of their neighbors while delivering personalized conservation recommendations that ultimately save them money on their water bills.
